JAMES VARUN SEHGAL

Principal Director: Financial Markets

James is specialised in XVA Portfolio Management, Risk Management (Market and Credit), Basel III Regulation, IFRS 9, Capital Optimisation, Documentation, Risk Policy & Control and Governance. James has been working in the financial services industry for almost 19 years across 3 continents. He has gained a diverse set of experiences in front office portfolio management desk head, Risk Control & Policy, Regulation Strategy at leading, UK, Dutch and Canadian financial institutions. In his last role, he was working for a UK global bank, where he was Managing Director and Asia Pacific Head of XVA for more than 5 years. Prior to that, he was based in London, and North America where he has held senior roles in, CVA, Market Risk and portfolio management. He is also co-author of PRMIA Handbook on Counterparty Risk & CVA.

Tom Bebbington

Lead Consultant


Tom has been deeply involved in the Liner Shipping and Logistics Industry for over two decades. In that time, he has worked with the top global shipping lines and terminals as well as developing bespoke software solutions for the industry in collaboration with IT University in Denmark.
He has spent the past 8 years working on handling large-scale, multi-dimensional and complex operational and software projects within the industry.
Tom is Managing Director of Container Logic Ltd (UK), since 2016, providing consulting services to the Liner and Logistics industry, with a special focus on change management, operational efficiency and workflow re-engineering. Prior to founding Container Logic Ltd, Tom was Head of Stowage at InterSchalt Singapore. He is also a member of the SMDG committee.

Trung Ta

Principal Consultant: Financial Markets / Technology / Logistics

Trung has over fifteen years of experience in consulting and technology services, primarily focusing on the Financial Services industry.He has extensive knowledge of Front, Middle and Back Office operations across the asset classes that include: FX Derivatives, FX Cash and IRD (Interest Rate Derivatives) as well as a good understanding of Risk and Regulations within Capital Markets. Trung is an experienced Project Manager that has been involved in several systems implementation/decommission, Data migration and large-scale technology delivery using niche technologies such Murex (trading, risk management and processing software) as well as ERP and PSA systems for SMEs. More recently he has been involved with managing / delivering Digital transformation projects for the Insurance and Shipping Industry, leveraging the latest digital technologies. He has worked for some of the major UK and German banks such RBS, Barclays and Commerzbank as well as Capco and Sapient Consulting firms.Trung holds a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Science and a Master’s degree in Information Systems from the University of Liverpool, UK.

David Mason

Principal Consultant: Technology and Business

David is a technology professional with over 30 years’ working experience from maintenance professional to CTO and business founder. He has an in-depth knowledge of virtualization, IAAS, SAAS, Cloud and EUC across multiple industries. His core focus in recent years has been in guiding the innovation of products, solutions and services, with emphasis on cloud platforms, cloud adoption and productization of on-demand products. He has consulted with organisations both large and small, to guide the development of technology and service creation, adoption and building sales capability. David has a strong foundation in large infrastructure design, deployment and management combined with Agile and XP development both on-shore and off-shore. He has a proven capability to deliver complex, high value projects and products through the application intuitive product, service, innovation, solid product and program management combined with a proven ability to create, manage and drive diverse highly distributed teams.

Sue Mason

Business Analyst: Commercial Operations

Sue is a marketing and business management professional with over 12 years of focus on business development. She started her business development career in Singapore International Arbitration Centre where the focus is on building the international awareness of Singapore as the hub for dispute resolution, next she joined the market research firm as an international project manager managing clients such as Swarovski gain consumer insights into their retail concept, service and product offering. She then joined a digital marketing agency where she managed digital marketing campaigns for clients such as NTUC and Club21. Leaving the digital marketing agency, she then moved on as a brand marketing manager, where the focus is on go to market strategy for American and European brands entering the APAC market. Next, Sue consulted with a 3D printing start-up as the head of marketing where she spearheaded their entire marketing and e-commerce activities. She was then promoted to the position of general manager where she oversaw the entire management of the business including sales, inventory and marketing. Sue’s educational background is in Psychology.

Jovius Kwok

Business Analyst: Shipping/Logistics Operations

Jovius has been active in the liner shipping and logistics industry for over two decades.She started her shipping career with a major Japanese shipping line for eight years in the transhipment department. She then moved on to roles in a global freight forwarding organisation, ranging from customers service, operations, project team, regional freight procurement and Tender management to provide Logistics solution to the business.In recent years she joined a cargo owner company where her responsibilities included driving leverage of supply chain and logistics activities, working with ocean carriers and 3rd party logistics service providers in improving logistics activities to maximise value and achieve a sustainable competitive advantage.
